This is a personal website.
- For information relating to my research in China, at the Nanjing University Yixing Environmental Research Institute, and more recently to my consulting in China, via my company Nanjing Smart Technology Development Co. Ltd, please contact me.
- For information relating to consulting in Australia or other countries, please contact me.
- For information about software for use in the world of groundwater, surface water and groundwater - surface water interaction, please visit GW-SW.
- For reports on AQUIFEM-1, AQUIFEM-N, AQUIFEM-P, CERT, FLOWTHRU, PUWBS etc., please visit www.gw-sw.com/resources/.
I use this site to provide access to information that might otherwise be less accessible. The information relates mainly to my research activities at MIT, UWA and CSIRO,
and/or with former colleagues after my departure from CSIRO in mid-1997. I am now actively involved in research and consulting in China, so future publications will include new topics in new geographies.
research interests include surface water - groundwater interaction, the
response of aquifers to periodic forcing, and model calibration and
publications include journal and other refereed papers, comments and replies,
conference papers and reports.
- FLOWTHRU is
interactive software that illustrates steady groundwater flow patterns in a
2D vertical section through shallow water bodies. A new interface to the original FLOWTHRU "computational engine" was prepared in June 2018, and a revised User's Manual dated August 1994 is now available.
- A number of
animations are provided to illustrate the impact of seasonal fluctuations of
recharge, rainfall and evapotranspiration on groundwater flow patterns in a
2D vertical section through shallow surface water bodies.
